Electric Cars Charging points

We are delighted to offer recharging points for electric vehicles on our Irish Sea and Ireland-France services as follows:

  • Dublin - Holyhead: Ulysses:  recharging points available onboard (power output is 7kw)
  • Dublin - Cherbourg: W.B Yeats:  3 Recharging points available onboard (power output is 3kw Trickle)

The charge points available are POD Point Type II chargers: User Guide pdf

To ensure you can use these recharging points:

  • Pre-book to ensure a designated space is reserved.  This is available as an extra option for a fee when booking your trip or can be added afterwards as an extra (subject to availability). For the Dublin/Holyhead route, there is no charge. On our Ireland/France route, the fee for a charge point is €15 per sailing.
  • Check-in on time: allow for an earlier check in time to ensure you can be loaded to your designated recharging space. (60 minutes for Dublin-Holyhead, 90 minutes for Ireland-France)
  • Cable: Bring your own cable to connect to the ship's pod.

There are other public charging points located close to the ports we serve. Location details can be found here:
